BREAKING NEWS OUT OF IRELAND!
The Irish Parliament has enacted a brand new law against blasphemy. If you are found guilty of it, you are subject to a €25,000 fine.
It defines blasphemy as "publishing or uttering matter that is grossly abusive or insulting in relation to matters held sacred by any religion, thereby intentionally causing outrage among a substantial number of adherents of that religion, with some defences permitted."
We at The Church of the Simply Divine are THRILLED to learn this and are in the process of demanding of the Irish Government FULL AND IMMEDIATE ENFORCEMENT to punish all blasphemers against our one and only and most sacred tenet.
