Speaks Volumes... Oliphant is the best.
our one tenet
It's quite simple. We believe - okay, let's be perfectly accurate, we KNOW - you can only approach Divinity through a same-sex mindset.
Thus every homosexual IS ALREADY a minister in our church, and everything that ministering queer does with regard to his/her sexuality is a bona fide religious act - and fully protected by laws already on the books All Over The World!
a welcoming congregation
We cheerfully welcome heterosexuals into our congregations, but only as passive members. Our attitude is rather like that of the Catholic Church with regard to women. Heterosexuals may participate in our religious services - in fact we encourage them to do so - but never, ever in a Position of Authority. Frankly, we wouldn't even dare to put them in charge of, say, arranging the flowers. (Especially not that - even though Catholics and Mormons, in an excess of misguided theological liberality actually do allow women that responsibility. Yes, it is a very practical exception (what do men know about flowers other to brandish them about cynically as Drachenfutter?) and it is still Very, Very Wrong. And Even Kind of Icky.)
Simply and most Divinely put, heterosexuals can not be trusted with any sort of Moral Leadership whatsoever. Even hardest of HARDCORE CHRISTIANS(TM) have to admit it was that very first breeding pair of heterosexuals (Adam & Eve - not the mythical Adam & Steve) who were personally responsible for Original Sin - a highly popular conceit, btw, that they themselves invented.
do we hate heterosexuals?
Heavens no! We LOVE them, we just hate their sin. Hate, hate, HATE it. (But hate it in only the most loving way you could ever possibly imagine!)
You know (and most Western religions agree on this) that the only reason for the s-e-x act between heterosexuals is to make babies - any other purpose is sinful in the extreme. And yet do they stop pleasuring themselves over and over and over again? No. See - and this is just ONE example of their total inability to provide Moral Leadership.
Fortunately, Modern Technology (thanks to in vitro fertilization and the Blessed Turkey Baster!) has made copulation between persons of the opposite s-e-x utterly and entirely obsolete.
Hallelujah!
Now these poor misguided creatures can be saved from their bestial, rutting natures - and WE can help guide them into the ways of righteousness - not to say good taste, as well!
As St. Martha says, "It's a good thing!"
