Yes, we are forever being asked - or NOT asked, which can be even more annoying - for an Official Ex Cathedra Opinion about an alarming assortment of increasingly disparate matters - some of them only very tangentially spiritual. Day in, day out, the questions never stop pouring in:
"I'm considering having a labioplasty/phalloplasty for purely aesthetic reasons. Is that shallow of me, Irreverend Doctor?" *
"Should I slap my neighbor with a lawsuit for not composting, Irreverend Doctor?" **
"Is the ZhuZhu Pet(TM) a Sign of the Apocalypse, Irreverend Doctor?" ***
"What is the Meaning of Life, Irreverend Doctor?" ****
Oh, yes, being a Miss Manners of the Soul is a never-ending burden, but it is a joy-filled never-ending burden. Listen, it could be worse. We could be a parent or a spouse. At least in our case, people are actually THRILLED when we tell them what to do and think!
Btw, the Correct Answers to the above questions are to be found beneath the following illustration of one of a growing number of Fully Sanctified(TM) Purchasables available exclusively through SPIRITUALLYFABU, our Official Temple of Commerce.

The Correct Answers. . .
* If your reasoning is both pure AND aesthetic, how could it possibly be shallow?
** Only if you can arrange to postpone the court date until after the growing season is over AND your garden has been properly put to bed for the winter. Otherwise your Eternal Soul will be Endangered.
*** No more than The Cabbage Patch Doll(TM) and rather less than The Beanie Baby(TM).
**** Sorry, far above our Pay Grade.
How well did you score?
I knew the answers to two and three!
ReplyDeleteNumber One and Number Four were gimmes. Had them immediately. Two and three stumped me, though.
ReplyDeleteGuess that's why Sister Antiphilia and I make such a good team.
My friends and I sure have been loving tuning in every day. What's next? Sabbath pod casts? Prop 71, the Musical?
ReplyDeleteKeep up the most excellent work! You are apparently on a roll...
