Stop the Violence!

On 6 December 1989 fourteen young women were brutally murdered in Montreal. Instead of ignoring this senseless and horrific act, as most people and countries might and generally do, The Canadians have created a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Woman.

Since not a day goes by when one of US isn't murdered or beaten - when will we and our allies rise up and demand our own (Inter)National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against The GLBT Community?! When faced, though, with so many martyrs we will be hard pressed to choose a day. . .
