They say Membership has its Privileges...

Unlike certain religions that prissily demand you be re-born to attain membership - and re-born in very specific re-birthing ceremonies which bear a disturbing resemblance to a wet t-shirt contest without the tequila - ours is a far simpler process. All you have to DO is to BE. Which, admittedly, can be a very difficult thing for some people.

You see, being Simply Divine is NOT A CHOICE. You either are or you are not. Those of Us who are, are gifted with our Simple Divinity while still in the womb - yes, it's one of those hormonal pre-born things you might have heard about - and the rest of the world, tragically, is not so Gifted and regrettably never, ever will be. (Some of Us like to say, with an indiscreet little titter, that we are to The Manner Born.)

Of course there are those among Us who are unaware of their Simple Divinity for many a year. This is very sad. What is also sad are those who, though very much aware of their Special Gift, choose to deny it. (They are often referred to as Cleopatras for a far too obvious reason.)

Being Simply Divine is often a quite heavy burden. And so it is incumbent upon all of Us to reach out to our Brothers and Sisters - whoever and wherever they might be - as often and as lovingly as we can. That can be a Challenge, as we all know there are more than a Few of Us out there that do NOT reflect well on the Rest of Us - but since ours is a Gift we have no choice in accepting, neither should we have any choice in accepting all those who are Similarly Gifted.

Must we remind you of the inadvisability of judging others? Except in matters of Style, of course. There is always, after all, the distinct possibility that you might be mistaken. And that's ever so embarrassing. (We are painfully reminded of a Qiana(TM) nylon disco shirt we ought not to have purchased lo, those many years ago.)
